DC Firefighters Burn Foundation

The D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization founded by active and retired Washington, D.C. Firefighters. The Foundation is dedicated to assisting in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured firefighters and burn patients in the D.C. Metropolitan Area. We support burn research, treatment, and rehabilitation programs at Washington Hospital Center as well as the Children’s Burn Camp Program. Firefighters and members of the Burn Center have a special empathy for burn survivors. No other group witnesses more of the devastation that fire wreaks on the human body and spirit.

HEROES, Inc.® is dedicated to aid families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Our organization’s singular goal is to honor the supreme sacrifice made by law enforcement officers and firefighters who give their lives in the line of duty while ensuring the safety of citizens in the greater Washington area. We honor these fallen HEROES by assisting their spouses and children, beginning within 24 hours of the tragic loss and continuing indefinitely.

DC Fallen Firefighters Memorial Foundation

The Foundation was formed August, 2017 to raise the funds necessary to build a centrally located city monument and maintain in perpetuity to never forget those DC Firefighters and their families that have made the ultimate sacrifice. One hundred DC firefighters have lost their lives serving the citizens in our Nation’s Capital. The Foundation advances the committment made in 1915 by members of the Fireman’s Association of the District of Columbia who set aside May 29th as an annual day of remembrance for their brothers and sisters who have died in the line of duty.
